In 2013 Threads of Peru were visited by a lovely couple, Andrea from Mexico and David from Spain. Travelling in a 93 VW combi, that they made into a home, they set out in 2012 with the intention of visiting 13 countries in 6 months. This converted into 2.5 years on the road, filming interesting social projects that inspired them along the way.
The audio is in Spanish but covers the early dreams of Co Founder Ariana Svenson for Threads of Peru, and then the current challenges encountered by Threads of Peru’s Director of Operations, Dana Blair, who ends the video saying, “the tourists come here and see what the women are doing, they take the stories home to their countries and show what can be produced here. Little by little the world is learning what the Andes has to offer…”
