Do you love to knit, weave or make textile art? How about making your next creative project out of some one-of-a-kind, hand-spun wool yarn from Peru! This yarn was hand-spun on a traditional drop spindle in a remote Andean community in Peru. Dyed by hand with natural dyes, this thickly-spun yarn employs a technique common to this region of Peru. Perfect for weaving a rug or cushion, or for a chunky, heavy knit sweater or socks!
All of our hand-spun yarn is unique: no two balls of yarn are alike, and once it's gone, it's gone!
Note: Color may vary slightly from how it appears in the photo.
WHO MADE THIS HANDSPUN WOOL YARN?
This wool yarn was hand-spun on a traditional drop-spindle in the high Andean community of Upis by Eulalia Cripsin and Rejina Chillihuani, two weavers from the Awaq Mayki weaving association.
