This unique, fair trade Peruvian Striped Shoulder Bag was made by indigenous artisans of the high Andes of Cusco. The horizontal stripes of red, blue, orange and green are rich examples of the hand-dyed colors of the Andes. These colors are created through an age-old natural dyeing processes using locally sourced plants, barks, and insects such as the cochineal, the source of the deep red color.
This Peruvian Bag is large and roomy, and can fit a small laptop or tablet, as well as all the things you need for a day out. A fun and practical addition to any wardrobe!
This bag closes with a sturdy zipper and has a handy coin pocket within the black lining.
Who made this bag?
This Peruvian Bag was made by an indigenous artisan in the high Andean community of Chinchero. Located half way between Cusco and the Sacred Valley, Chinchero weavers are famous worldwide for the high quality of their weaving, and also their distinctive pallay (design) that they use in their weaving.
