Rich shades of chocolate brown, mocha and cream combine to create a delicately textured palette that complements the intricate pallay (traditional woven design), a signature design of the Chahuaytire community located in the highlands above Pisac.
This cushion cover is made from a blend of sheep’s wool and alpaca, and carefully handwoven on a backstrap loom in the high Andes of Peru.

WHO MADE THESE SIENNA ANDEAN WOOL PILLOWS?
These Sienna Andean Wool Pillows were handwoven in Chahuaytire for The Centre for Traditional Textiles of Cusco (CTTC). The CTTC is a nonprofit organization that provides a modest but dependable income for close to 700 weavers in 10 communities. The CTTC is famous worldwide, and its founder, Nilda Callanaupa credited for raising the profile of Andean weaving on the world stage.
