WHO MADE THE WISDOM CARDS?
The idea behind the Wisdom Cards was to share the wisdom of the Andean weavers, not only for their aesthetic complexity, but also their reflective properties.
In 1947, Doctor Delia Vidal de Milla of Cusco began an investigation in various high Andean weaving communities. She had already observed that the women of the Andes did not follow guides or patterns, and that each textile was her unique inspiration.
During her research, the women explained that their weaving was done in a state of silence and meditation, and the symbols they used had special meanings related to those hours of reflection.
